Another Project…

I started painting the bottom piece, I still need to paint the lid. And then glaze it.

It’s sort of random, just squares with different pictures or words inside. Once it’s glazed it’ll be fun to cook with. It’s going to add a lot of color and character to the kitchen. And it’s really deep and big so it’ll be great for soups, chili, or sloppy joes.

Craft Night

I had some of my family over Tuesday evening for a little ceramic painting! Having a craft room downstairs has been great. I set up a table in the middle of the room with 4 chairs around it, and there’s still plenty of room for walking around, all my craft storage bins, all my fabric, a t.v, dvd player  & ent. center, and of course the radio/cd player! I like to listen to music or watch a movie while crafting 🙂

So here is what they are working on:

and here’s what I’m working on…

We’re doing another craft night next Tuesday, so I’m looking forward to that 🙂

I got a bunch of paints and glazes from my dad. I’m working on this at the moment:

Other than painting this guy, I’ve been doing more gardening. I planted a variety of wild flowers in the backyard. And I transplanted my aloe vera plant into a bigger pot. It’s growing so fast! This is the second transplant this year for it! I found some nice ceramic pots at Fleet Farm.

This cork board used to be filled with photos. I decided to cover it in a butterfly print fabric instead. I used my staple gun to staple the fabric on nice and tight.

Ceramic Everything

My craft room is getting full, lol. But it is staying organized. I have plenty of shelves and I label everything. I like my craft room to stay clean and orderly.

I am really excited to get the kiln hooked up at our new place (we moved July 1st). I want to make some geckos, I have a few molds for different sizes. I also want to make some skulls, especially since Halloween is only a few months away.

Here’s a few ceramics:

I love these ceramic cats. They are super cute, I keep a few in my craft room as decor.

This little pup is so cute too!

I have tons of these ceramic castles. They are perfect for aquariums. I have lots of neat aquarium decor

My tomatoes and peppers are coming in 🙂

Today I made a nice big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup! It was super delicious! I added chicken, celery, carrots, potatoes, onion, and broth. MMmmmmm 🙂

Horse Hair Ceramics

The white cats with black squiggly lines are made by burning horse hair into the hot ceramics.
