File Folder Game : Matching

I love file folder games! Recently I did a post about the Contractions folder and Animal Match Up folder that I made.

Here is a Color Matching game. The toddler or preschooler can match the bees to their flowers. The stripe on the bee matches the pedals on the flowers.

I printed on cardstock paper (heavy) and also used laminating sheets so the bees are durable.

You need to create an envelope, or use a store bought one, to hold all the little bees.

Tape down, or glue the flowers on the inside of the file folder.

I put some stickers and paper flowers on mine to add a little decoration

Thanks for stopping by!

File Folder Games For Kids

I have been making a variety of file folder games lately. They are fun to make, very inexpensive, educational, and super easy to create. If you havent heard of them, you should check it out online. They’re a great tool for teaching and keeping kids busy! 🙂

This is my Contractions File Folder Game:

This is my Animal Match Up File Folder Game:

I used velcro tabs on the lower half of the animals so the kids can match them up. The top half is taped down.

The Circus

Here is a diorama made by a 2 1/2 year old and a 5 1/2 year old… with a lil help from me

I cut a window into the front of a box to create our 3d environment to work with

I printed out circus theme pictures for them to color.

They painted the box red and we let it dry, then we decorated the box.

Felt Hopscotch!

I made this fun hopscotch game with felt. I used one large green piece and 10 different colored squares. Felt is inexpensive to buy and easy to work with.

The teal letters and numbers are cardboard, they’re glued on with a hot glue gun. I bought them from the dollar store.

Check out my other kid friendly crafts and projects, and see my crochet and sewing works too..

Have a great day, thanks for visitng!! 🙂

Diorama/Shadow Box

Kids LOVE being creative! The possibilities are endless when it comes to decorating shadow boxes and creating dioramas. Here are two I made with some little friends of mine.

All you need to do is cut a window into a cardboard box to create a 3D workspace.

We did a Jungle Theme Diorama and an Under The Sea Diorama.

For the Jungle Theme, we found pine needles, grass, and sticks from outside. The kids loved being able to explore for items outdoors and bring them back into the house!

The 2 1/2 year old was really impressed with our “Ocean Puppet Box” as she called it. She pointed to the crab (which she colored in) and said, “This is Sebastian, Ariel’s friend and over here (pointing to the coral) is where Nemo and his Dad live.”
