More and More Crocheting!

I haven’t added much to my online store lately because I have been busy working on orders. I had a few requests for black and white matching hat and scarf sets. I also had an order placed for a grey infinity, a couple requests for red and crème scarves, and I crocheted a matching hat and scarf set for my friends New Years gift. She is hosting a party so I’ll bring her a little gift 🙂 and I think I’ll make Rice Krispie bars as well! Mmmmm, yum! Plus I crocheted myself two new hats with yarn I received as a gift on my birthday 🙂

Craft Show, Christmas Presents, and other things…

Life has been very busy. October, November, and December go by really fast. And then it’s Hello New Year!

October went well. I was Minnie Mouse for Halloween 🙂 We carved pumpkins and decorated inside and out.

November was good too. We celebrated Thanksgiving with a great big feast. And I also hosted a cookie exchange party which was a lot of fun. Every guest had to make 6 cookies for each of the other guests to bring home. So we had around 700-800 cookies at the party. Plus everyone baked some for us to eat and enjoy at the party. It was a very fun time!

In December I was at a craft show as a vendor to sell some scarves, hats, and blankets. It went really well and I had a great time!! 😀

Yesterday we had a gingerbread house decorating party. It was so much fun. Everyone really got into their creations!! 🙂

November 2012 – Scarves 6 and 7

A crocheted scarf will keep someone very warm in winter months. Plus, they’re light weight and super soft. I use Homespun yarn. It’s heavenly and I love it!

Originally I was going to make a red scarf. I had a skein of red to crochet one, but then I was working on this cream colored scarf and thought a red border would look great on it! So I used some of the red yarn as a border for the cream scarf and then used more for a border on the blue scarf. But I like how they turned out. I’ll just buy more red for that red scarf I want to crochet…

November 2012 – Scarf # 5

Every year when Fall rolls around I end up doing a lot more crocheting. And this year is no exception. Here is the fifth scarf I made this November. I used my favorite Homespun yarn, but this time I used their new Thick & Quick yarn. It is much thicker than their regular Homespun yarn. It was fun to work with and it truly is so incredibly soft! Like hugging clouds! The pictures cant show you how soft the scarf is.
